The One Book Everyone Should Read at Least Once

A Book is a complete source of energy for everyone around here. Every book leaves a huge impact on its reader and some books are a must read , in my view, every book is very special and unique. Some people love reading books, and some hate it to their core—maybe because of the school textbooks and unfinished syllabus.

Books have a lot of genres in it: Fictional, Non-fictional, Motivational, Mystery/Thriller, Romance, Fantasy, Science Fiction (Sci-Fi), Historical Fiction, Biography, Philosophy, Self-Help, and more and more—this list is never-ending. Some people read books but not that much, so someone must suggest a book to them. They brainstorm this thought and come up with a name, so i come up with this name, because according to me , this book is mandatory to read.

Impact of Books

A book can shape a person’s thoughts and his or her actions too. A book can also change a person’s behavior and emotions. Once we complete reading a book, people think it is over—but no, it will always be carried with us if we remember the words of that certain book. A book stays forever with a person.

When you read a novel or a storybook, after completing it, you may remember it for your whole life. But there is a very low chance that you will go back to that book every day. But a poetry book is something that you can read again and again every day, first of all because it is poetry. Secondly, it gets connected to our hearts. so this book should be a compulsory read for every reader and non-reader.

The Book That You Should Read Once – HOME

Sometimes, some books stay in all phases of your life, and you relate to every word.

One such book is Home by Whitney Hanson, a poetry collection that leads us from breaking to healing. This book lets readers face their fears by letting them remember it clearly—because one cannot forget or accept something as long as they do not feel every possible and impossible emotion behind it. Home does that part for you.

This book contains four sections in it: Losing, Lost, Flying, and the very important one—Home.

Each section is a collection of beautiful and heart-wrenching poetries that can give a whole picture of your heart in front of you. I would not spoil each section because that will be your personal work to do. But here is the brief of it:

Losing-

so first part of the book is losing, In the Losing section, you will feel every loss you ever got in your life. Maybe you will cry… but trust me, you will cry in the most beautiful way.

must read book -

Lost-

In the next part of the book—Lost—you will remember the very phase of your life where you were lost, when you felt disconnected from this world. In this part, Whitney Hanson tells that when a person gets lost within, nobody can bring him back. before reaching the home you must read this part of the book

Flying-

After all these things comes Flying—the next part of the book—where she talks about how, after all the storms and fights, we will fly. No matter what happens, we will find our way.

Home-

And at the last of the Home book comes the Home section—the most crucial part of the book and everybody’s life. Here, in this part of the book, we find our home—and you know where it is? It is within us. And Miss Hanson also states that she wrote this part when she herself felt happy and safe with herself. She did not write this book in a hurry just to complete a book and publish it, but she felt every emotion of it. And when she overcame every fear and self-doubt and found her home again, she wrote this part of the book.

In this part, readers feel safe and feel lively with their fears. They accept themselves and feel good within, so this is a must read for everyone out there.

I mean, look at this poetry quote from the book:

It gives comfort during difficult times. Whenever you feel stuck or feel lost, just open any page of this book, and you will find yourself home again.

The Writer -Whitney Hanson

The writer of this book, Whitney Hanson, is an amazing person herself.

She wrote every aspect of life beautifully in her books and in her journals too. She tries to tell us that there is beauty in writing poems—and really, there is so much beauty in writing and expressing yourself.

“Pick something to look forward to
Even if it’s really small
And please stay here for tomorrow”

Here she tells us to stay. She tells us not to give up on ourselves.

Some books entertain, others inform—but this one heals you, whether you are broken or not. That’s why it belongs on everyone’s shelf. this book is a must read for everyone out there.

Give it a try and fall in love with yourself—and build your own home within yourself.

Because as Whitney Hanson says:

Sometimes the home
You are looking for
You have to build yourself
No one knows what you need
Better than you

—from Home by Whitney Hanson.
